ZWQ-DO1 is a dissolved oxygen sensor for monitoring water quality. It can be used for on-line monitoring and for harsh environment in the field.

What is a Dissolved Oxygen Sensor?

The permeable membrane allows oxygen from the sample water to diffuse into the sensor, where it is reduced at the cathode. This chemical reaction produces an electrical signal, which travels from the cathode to the anode and then into the dissolved oxygen measuring instrument.

How does a Dissolved Oxygen Sensor work?

In an electrochemical DO sensor, dissolved oxygen diffuses from the sample across an oxygen permeable membrane and into the sensor. Once inside the sensor, the oxygen undergoes a chemical reduction reaction, which produces an electrical signal. This signal can be read by a dissolved oxygen instrument.

First Calibration Point Remove the probe from the water, blot dry, and place the tip of the probe into the Sodium Sulfite Calibration Solution. The displayed voltage should begin to drop. When the displayed voltage reading stabilizes, enter 0 (the known dissolved oxygen value in mg/L) in the edit field.
