Compared with traditional coastal instruments, ZWQ-ORP1 ORP meter is more convenient to install. It uses RS485 interface and Modbus RTU standard protocol to communicate, with low power consumption, and supports solar power supply and wireless communication.

What is an ORP sensor?
The Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) Sensor measures the ability of a solution to act as an oxidizing or reducing agent. Use the ORP Sensor to measure the oxidizing ability of chlorine in swimming pools or to determine when the equivalence point has been reached in an oxidation-reduction reaction.
How does an ORP sensor work?
An ORP meter measures very small voltages generated with a probe placed in ozonated water. The electrode is made of platinum or gold, which reversibly looses its electrons to the oxidizer. A voltage is generated which is compared to a silver (reference) electrode in a silver salt solution, similar to a pH probe.
What is a good ORP level?
The recommended ORP level for pools and spas is between 650 and 750 mV. It can be even higher in very clean water. The absolute minimum of 650 mV applies to both chlorine and bromine.
What is the ORP probe used for?
The oxidation reduction potential (ORP) of marine aquaria is a measure of the relative oxidizing power of the water. It has often been recommended to aquarists as an important water parameter, and some companies sell products (equipment and chemicals) designed to control ORP.
What does ORP indicate?
ORP stands for Oxidation-Reduction Potential. In practical terms, it is a measurement to oxidize contaminants.
