ZWQ-TUB1 Turbidity Sensor can be used to detect the turbidity value of water quality. It can be used in harsh environment and the monitoring data is stable and reliable.
ZWQ-TUB1 is a scattering turbidity sensor based on RS485 communication interface and Modbus RTU standard protocol. It uses 850 nm infrared LED as light source and is not affected by water color. It is low power optical technology, maintenance-free and consumable.

What is a Turbidity Sensor in water?
Turbidity sensors measure the amount of light that is scattered by the suspended solids in water. As the amount of total suspended solids (TSS) in water increases, the water’s turbidity level (and cloudiness or haziness) increases.
What is the turbidity of water?
Turbidity is a measure of the degree to which the water loses its transparency due to the presence of suspended particulates. The more total suspended solids in the water, the murkier it seems and the higher the turbidity.
Why do we measure Turbidity in water?
It is used to determine the concentration of suspended particles in a sample of water by measuring the incident light scattered at right angles from the sample. … The propensity of particles to scatter a light beam focused on them is now considered a more meaningful measure of turbidity in water.
How do you test water for Turbidity?
Turbidity and Total Suspended Solids Measurement Methods. Turbidity can be measured directly with a turbidity meter/sensor, or indirectly with a secchi disc/tube. Turbidity, as an optical property of water, is one of the more difficult parameters to measure.
What is the use of turbidity sensor?
Turbidity sensors are used in river and stream gaging, wastewater and effluent measurements, control instrumentation for settling ponds, sediment transport research, and laboratory measurements.
